Using XML-Echo Sitemap Generator to create Google sitemaps is a simple process. You simply create an account, and enter the Web site for which you want to create a sitemap. XML-Echo Sitemap Generator creates the sitemap in the background. When this process is complete, you simply view the sitemap and then upload it to the proper location. Detailed steps follow.
Registering as a User
If you are new to XML-Echo Sitemap Generator, you must first register. If you are already registered, you simply process to login.

Click
Register. The Register window opens.

Next to
Username, enter a name.

Next to
Password, enter a password. Verify your password by entering it in the text box below.

Email, enter your email address.

Next to
Web site URL, enter the site URL for the sitemap you wish to generate.

Register.
Generating a Sitemap
After you have registered or logged in, you are ready to generate a sitemap.

Under
Starting URL, confirm the correct Web site address or enter another.

Click
Make Sitemap. The sitemap is queued for processing. XML-Echo Sitemap Generator creates the sitemap in the background. The length of time required for processing depends upon the size of the site and also the number of sitemaps in the queue.

You can choose to wait for email notification of the completed sitemap, or you can click
Refresh Page to view your position in the queue.

If you refresh the page, click
View Sitemap. If you receive email notification, click the link embedded in the email to view the sitemap.
Uploading a Sitemap
After you have generated a sitemap, you simply need to upload it to the correct location.

After the sitemap has been generated, you are presented with three choices for uploading your sitemap. These choices are related to your server. Click
My server uses PHP,
My server uses ASP, or
Upload manually.

XML-Echo Sitemap Generator provides a .ZIP file for downloading. This file contains the files necessary for communication with Google.
Click
Download Zip to download the file. The file will be named something like PHP.ZIP, for example.

Unzip this file and place the contents of the file on your server. Place the contents of the .ZIP file in the same folder as the homepage file for the Web site. (In general, the homepage file will be named something like index.html, index.php, index.htm, etc.)

After you have uploaded the contents of the .ZIP file to your server, XML-Echo Sitemap Generator will able to communicate with Google about new sitemaps, without the need for any further uploads.
Note: If you choose to upload your sitemaps files manually, you must repeat this upload every time a new sitemap is generated.
